Firefox 3 Download Day 2008

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about settling for Mozilla Firefox as a browser (and for Barack Obama as a presidential candidate). I’m happy to report that the Firefox 3 release candidate I’ve been using on my work laptop has been working out swimmingly for me (and that I’m getting excited about Obama as a presidential candidate, too). In fact, I’ve grown so attached to one of Firefox 3’s new features—it’s ability to know that I want to visit Google Analytics just as soon as I type “analytics” into the address bar—that I find myself disoriented when I’m home on my iMac and Safari isn’t doing the same thing.

Now it’s your chance to experience the awesomeness of Firefox 3 for yourself. Today is Firefox 3 Download Day. The fine folks at Mozilla are attempting to set the Guinness World Record for Most Software Downloaded in 24 Hours, and you can help them achieve that goal. I’m off to do my part right now. Can you think of a good reason why you shouldn’t do yours?
