Apple Releases 4 New Get a Mac Ads
I have always liked Apple’s Get a Mac ad campaign—the 2006 clip with Gisele might be my favorite—but I think the latest installments are less than inspired. Microsoft, despite the misleading nature of their latest ads (see TUAW’s analysis here), has really been knocking it out of the park lately—their ads featuring tech-savvy little kids were particularly effective, I thought—and Apple needs to do more to take back the advantage. These latest bits, aside from the one advertising the Faces functionality in iPhoto 09 (a feature I’ve been dying to get my hands on, actually), feel like rehashes of things we’ve already seen, and little more. And, based on what we’ve seen before, we know that Apple can do better.
So, hey, Apple: DO BETTER!
