Neil Gaiman and Amanda Palmer in a Bathtub

I am so out of it sometimes. For instance, I didn’t realize that Amanda Palmer and Neil Gaiman were a thing until round about today. But apparently the rest of the Internet has known for, like, a month.

Anyway, this is all just my way of explaining why I am on an Amanda Palmer kick today, why I’ve included above a really fantastic interview of Neil and Amanda by Sara Benincasa, and why I’m imploring you to go check out the video of Neil and Amanda performing together in New York City that’s available now at Spin.com. This stuff is just fantabulous—most of all the vid of Neil reading “Who Killed Amanda Palmer?” which leads into a performance of “Astronaut”—and it’s especially inspiring to me as a writer and performer who is constantly looking for ways to make the performance of written work a fun and exciting experience.
