I’ve been getting up extraordinarily early on the weekends as of late. This morning I got up at 7:30 AM. This is great for productivity but it leaves me feeling ready for bed by one or two o’clock in the afternoon. I made it through lunch with our friends without any major effort, but everything after that seems to me a blur of trying to stay awake.
I fell asleep while watching our new copy of Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets, which I had very much wanted to watch. I did catch a scene here or there, but in general, I spent most of it dozing and nursing a headache.
The day was grand though. I wrote a few more archival entries and then we went out to lunch with Stacey, Angela, James, and their daughter, who turned four recently and grows even cuter every time we see her. We ate at Bertucci’s in Chelmsford Center and reminisced and all was good.
After that, Stef and I went looking for a particular piece of fabric she needs for one of her crafts projects. We didn’t find it, so we came home.
At a certain point, when I’d beaten back the tiredness for a couple of hours, we decided to go out to eat dinner. At Friendly’s, the waiter brought us both the wrong order and eventually we got our food, which was good, and we didn’t have to pay for it. I felt bad about that, because other than the mixup (which was understandable because of the volume in there and my occasional tendency to mumble) the service and the food were great.
We came back here afterwards, sat down to watch Harry Potter and well, that was that.
