Cold And Tired
It seems as if I have been only two things lately: tired and cold. I spent most of my day at work cold because the temperature could not be regulated and I had worn a short-sleeve shirt, thinking foolishly that because it was May it would be reasonably warm today. I have spent most of the evening tired, even after an afternoon of anticipating watching The Matrix, an activity Stephanie suggested to prepare us for the release of the sequel, The Matrix Reloaded, later this week. I even fell asleep during the movie, as I imagined I might.
I can’t seem to shake this pattern of barely getting through the day and then sleepwalking through the evening until bedtime. I wish that I could. I really wanted to watch The Matrix tonight. When I woke up after dozing for a good half-hour or so, I was supremely disappointed with myself.
I did work out today and I did get a couple of little errands done during my breaks from work. I started rereading Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban in preparation for the next book’s release next month. It was a nice change of pace after spending the better part of a month reading Roots.
But this tiredness is frustrating, man. I wish I had more energy. I wish I wasn’t so old.
