The following reflection was written in 2003, when I was between 25 and 26 years old.
My new friend Tiff, who I’d met through Ken and hung out with only a couple of times, graduated the first weekend of June. Ken and I went to her small graduation party at her house in Lowell and though there was probably loads of fun to be had there, all of us, including Tiff, eventually departed.
Tiff recalls some time at the beach and an argument about who pushed who into the water between she and her boyfriend. I don’t recall this, but that’s not saying much. There are a lot of things I forget, even as remembering a person as I am.
I do recall that we spent some time at the Mall at Rockingham Park and that I was depressed, as I so often was that summer. I think we spotted a person or two I knew from college and a person or two that KenMills and I knew from elsewhere. I do recall that Tiff’s boyfriend was a doofus.
There were many other interesting Ken, Tiff, and Chris adventures during the summer. Some of them I’ll get to. Some of them I might not. The ones I might not get to include a trip up into the boonies of New Hampshire, a trip to the carnival that is held each year along the Merrimack River in Lowell, a bunch of nighttime drives with and without the boyfriend, and probably a bunch more.
