Thunderstorms

The following reflection was written in 2003, when I was between 25 and 26 years old.

Graduation was supposed to be Saturday evening but thunderstorms were in the forecast and they ended up moving it to Sunday afternoon. This wasn’t a problem for most of the family but, as I recall, the Ronzios had a prior engagement. Now, I don’t know whether they just dropped off their gifts that night, but I do know that I did go out to dinner with people that night and I think they were among the people I went with.

I recall that, coming out of the 99 Restaurant and Pub on Chelmsford Street in Lowell around the time graduation would have taken place, that it wasn’t raining or thundering or anything else. I thought it was quite a waste that we’d had to move it.

Anyway, I think that Auntie Lil, Uncle Bill, Billy, and Christle were there. They may not have been but since this is my recollection of things, let’s just say that they were. I was glad to see my family, even if it was the night before rather than the actual graduation.
