Done for The Moment
Winamp is playing my Sarah McLachlan collection and I feel very relaxed for the first time in a couple of weeks. I’ve finished all the work I need to mail out tomorrow morning and I did it with time to spare. I actually got it all done before dinner and that was very nice. The rest of the night has just been kicking back and such, since Stef is away at class. I’m not particularly happy with my story yet and I’m sure that I’ve probably done the two two-page papers I had to write wrong, but I don’t care right now. I did my best and I feel pretty good.
In addition to finishing Michael Chabon’s Werewolves in Their Youth on lunch today, I read the piece that Heather mentioned in the comments the other day. As usually happens with Heather’s work, I was really impressed and wishing I had time on lunch to read it again. You should check it out if you haven’t already. You can find it at www.conversely.com.
And, even though I was impressed by Heather’s work, for once I wasn’t so overwhelmed by the quality of it that I felt like less of a writer. I suppose the fact that she reminded me I am a "superb writer" and a "nice guy" the other day had something to do with it.
Uhm, that’s it for now. I think I’ll surf for a bit and then get to bed.
