Well, the Patriots won so we don’t have that to bitch about this week. The Red Sox lost but I don’t know enough about baseball to bitch about a Red Sox loss unless it’s to the Yankees. I could spend some time feeling bad about even mentioning Abercrombie in yesterday’s entry, but I think I covered that in the comments. I think the best place to start is with what I accomplished today and what I hope that leads to this week.
My boss gave me a book to read after a pretty dismal start to last week and I was very apathetic about picking it up. I already have a host of books to read for my graduate program and a lot of writing to do and barely any time for myself. I didn’t really want to read this book that he gave me but I did it anyway. I dove headfirst in and got a good chunk of it read.
It’s about marketing and advertising and it was written in the early part of the 20th century. It’s interesting. That’s about all you need to know.
I also adhered to my new dietary plan. Basically, I just tried to be more conscious of my portions and of how many sugars and shit I had. Now I really have to find a way to get exercise back into my day. That’s going to be tougher. I think I can do it though.
The real big trick for tomorrow is deciding which of my two stories from the first residency I am going to start revising for the second submission period. I want to revise both of them but I don’t know which one I want to tackle first. Maybe I’ll just give each a careful read tomorrow morning and see what strikes me. We’ll see, I guess.
