I still wasn’t feeling good when I got up this morning so I stayed home from work. I don’t call in sick very often, so it has to be bad for me to do so. It was. The thing is, I had so much to do at home that even though I was home sick I couldn’t spend the day in bed. It was time to finally take care of my car and I had a homework assignment that needed to be postmarked and in the mail by tomorrow morning. I had a lot of work to do and it turned out that doing it was a partial cure to my ills.

I think what’s happening with me is that I’m getting so stressed out during the week that it carries over into the weekends. I push it all off until my free time arrives and then there’s so much stress built up that I get sick. I don’t quite know how to deal with this except to win the lottery and only have to work on my schoolwork.

So, I took my car in to a place that specializes in alternators and starters and the guy gave me a ride back home. Then, I worked on my homework. When that was done I cleaned up the house. After that, I finally got in a few rounds with my new football video game. After that, I walked a couple of miles to pick up my car. Finally, I drove my car to Best Buy to spend the remainder of my birthday money on two DVDs: The Matrix Reloaded and the documentary The Legend of Ron Jeremy.

I came home and spoke with Tiff, who asked if I wanted to do anything. I said “No,” because I was still feeling too sick. I watched the Ron Jeremy documentary and by the time that was over I was feeling better and JonMartin called and asked if i wanted to go see Kill Bill tonight. It was probably a schmucky thing to do because I’d already told Tiff I was staying in, but I was feeling better and I thought a movie would do me good, so I went. Stef still wasn’t home yet and I didn’t want to spend the rest of the night alone.

It was also schmucky because a couple of weekends ago I promised to get Greg when I went to see Kill Bill but this was so spur of the moment that I forgot.

So, that was my day. My car was fixed, my homework got done, and I got to see Kill Bill. I didn’t succumb to the recently reduced iTunes for Windows but there’s always tomorrow for that. When I finally do download the program and start buying songs to my heart’s delight, then I’ll write an entry on how brilliant that product is as a marketing and sales device for Apple.

Until then…
