The nextdoor neighbor decided it would be appropriate to bang on our common wall this morning when I was getting ready to take my shore. They apparently objected to the volume of my computer’s speakers, which were no louder than the ghetto rap nonsense that they and the other neighbors on this floor seem to get their kicks from. I quickly turned down the speakers and made sure my front door was locked and latched, just in case.
I hate this place. I hate living in an apartment so very much. And, there’s nothing I can do about it. We’re stuck here at least till Stephanie finishes her Master’s. That won’t be till December, at the earliest. And are we really going to want to move in the middle of the holiday season? I don’t think so.
Well, I forgot to do a bunch of things on my way out the door this morning because of how scared I was by the neighbor’s outburst. I forgot to take out something for dinner. I forgot to gather the materials to close out my bank account, something I’d been waiting for a couple of weeks to do. I’m sure I forgot other things too, but I’ve forgotten what they were.
The day at work went well, though. It was busy and it went by quick and now I’m done for just over a week. Tomorrow, I’m not sure what I’ll do. The first residency event isn’t until 6ish. I would like to get that money I took out of my old business bank account tonight and get it into my new business account but that requires a longer drive than I think my car is up for. The new bank is a South Shore outfit.
I’ll figure it out. For now, though, I am going to go to bed and I am going to sleep in.
