After a day at work—I won’t call it long or hard—I decided it was my reward to head out for a drive tonight and unwind. Stef was at class and I had done all the reading and writing I could do in one day. So, I grabbed my CD player, headed out to the car, and had myself a mini roadtrip. It’s something I like to do. It relaxes me, generally.
I started with dinner, which sucked. I grabbed a double cheeseburger and a chicken fajita from McDonalds. The fajita was steaming hot and dripping with grease. The cheeseburger was lukewarm at best. Things, it seemed, were not going to go well.
Fog made visibility a bitch. I listened to Evanescence on the way to Nashua and, after I bought it at Newbury Comics, I listened to Kay Hanley (live at T.T.‘s) on the way back. Now that I’m home, I’ve been listening to the soundtrack to Finding Forrester, which I also just bought. I bought it for the Iz song that’s on it, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World”, but it also has some really neat Miles Davis stuff. I don’t go for jazz most of the time, but I’m in the right mood for it tonight.
