Insurance, Paperwork, and Clerks
A guy from New York Life came over to the house this evening to discuss what happens if one of us kicks the bucket. It was a fun conversation, let me tell you. Anyway, we looked at what we already have for life insurance, what kind of debts we have, and all the rest of that stuff. He was a pleasant enough guy, but I wanted the conversation to be over. I don’t need that kind of thought running through my head, especially when I’m turning a corner in my outlook on life in general.
Earlier in the day I drove into Cambridge to take care of some paperwork at Lesley for both Stef and myself. Stef, as I mentioned earlier, had been concerned she wasn’t going to be able to get into a class she thought she was signed up for. It all worked out. Me, I had to bring a health insurance waiver form in.
The only other thing worth mentioning is that I went out and bought the two Kevin Smith DVDs that came out today and I got an excellent deal on them. I went to Best Buy in Nashua on my way back from Cambridge and both Jersey Girl and the Clerks tenth anniversary DVD set were priced at $19.99. The Clerks DVD has a suggested retail price of $29.99, so it was definitely a good buy. Plus, if you buy the two DVDs together, you get another $5.00 off.
Forgive me if I’m a little excited about that. I had been holding off on buying Clerks on DVD for a couple of years after hearing this disc was coming out and I also thought Jersey Girl was terribly underrated.
Now, if I could just get some writing done so that I can have time to watch these movies.
