Today I landed that part-time gig in Boston that I’ve been talking about. It’ll be a nice way to supplement my unemployment check until I find something permanent. Plus, it involves working with writers and literary scholars and that’s much more appealing to me than marketing computer training, which is what I’ve been doing for the past two years or so. The trouble now becomes how I get there. My car is still in the shop and they want me to start tomorrow. But, I have a plan.
Hopefully the plan will work and I’ll be back tomorrow to report on a great day. That’s all one can hope for, isn’t it? We’ll see.
I’ve been having thoughts about my old comic book idea again, and that’s not good. I have to focus on the novel I’m working on. I have to get that shit done. But, I think, deep-down, I have always wanted to write something serially: a comic, a TV show, or something else like that. The other day, when I was wandering around the Burlington Mall, I stumbled across a book on How To Draw Manga. It looked really neat. I thought, I could do that. I don’t know why.
Anyway, that’s the skinny.
