Get the Funk Out
A couple of years ago, I worked on fixing up a picture of my great grandmother that had been sitting in the family garage for years. I did a pretty damned good job and I even featured here on the page when I had the Humpday Surprise every Wednesday. Unfortunately, somewhere in the transfer between computers, the edited image was lost. I was heartbroken when I discovered that tonight and so, I decided to start working on it again.
I can already tell that it’s going to turn out better than the version from two years ago. I’m a bit more patient. I know my way around Photoshop a bit better. And it’s just working with me, you know? There’s a certain element of luck involved, I think.
Photoshopping 90 year old pictures aside, today was basically a throwaway day (as many Saturdays in our house often are). We did some shopping for household stuff. We ate lunch at Uno’s. I tried to cheer myself up (why was I depressed? hell if i know.) with video games and succeeded only moderately.
I started flipping into the Sox game when I was working on the picture but it seems like it’s just going crazy and nobody can keep anyone from scoring, but moreso the Red Sox can’t keep the Yanks from scoring. For the good of my cardiovascular system, I am not going to watch anymore.
I changed my desktop around, too. I suggested to Stephanie that maybe if I just went out and bought The Sims 2, that would be a new obsession and I wouldn’t keep messing with the look of the computer. Very quickly we realized that it wouldn’t be a replacement obsession and that it would just be an additional obsession, so I didn’t go buy it.
