Moving Forward

Because it had snowed again the day before and because the traffic situation in Boston apparently was not getting any better, I ended up working from home on Thursday. It’s not something I dig doing most of the time—I like to keep work and home as seperate as possible—but today it wasn’t too bad. My boss sent me a slew of stuff to copyedit and that’s what I did. I’d one batch back to him and he’d send another. It worked out well.

There were some gaps when I didn’t have anything I was working on, so I worked on the upgrade for this webpage. I didn’t want to work on the novel or play my game. I wanted to do something that I could do a little bit of and then stop when I got another batch of stuff to edit.

The end-result of this is that I am that much closer to being able to switch the site over to its new and improved look and feel and its new and improved backend. I’m really excited about this.

Later in the evening, I played The Sims 2 for a while. I also started to get stir-crazy. I haven’t left the house for any sizeable amount of time since Tuesday morning, when I tried to get into work but couldn’t. And when looking forward to Friday, which I had basically set out for editing, editing, and more editing of my manuscript, I didn’t see much hope on the horizon.

I don’t know what I’ll do on Friday. Hopefully, I will get some solid editing hours in. But maybe I’ll find some time to get out of the house, too. One can only hope.
