Having just finished Middlesex this morning on my train ride into work, I went out in search of material on it and on the author. Bomb Magazine has a great article. I’ll try to add other stuff throughout the day. And, if you haven’t read the book yourself, get yourself to a library or a bookstore.

I just keep reading one good book after another. And, whereas in the past this might have intimidated me, now it just keeps driving me to work ever harder on my novel. If I keep working at it, maybe one day I’ll be able to weave a spell over someone in the way that Eugenides just wove a spell over me. Or at least I’ll be able to weave a spell over myself.

Anyone else read it and care to comment? I suppose I should probably use this space to write a full-fledged review, or at least a few notes on what he did, craft-wise, that really stuck out for me. But, I don’t have enough time to do it justice at the moment. So, I’ll just post links.
