Shot From A Cannon

Hunter S. Thompson’s ashes will be shot from a cannon. This is what he wanted, right? If so, that’s great. I mean, it’s not great that he’s dead, but it is great that he gets to go out the way he wanted. I don’t know what would have prohibited him, but it seems like somewhat crazy public expressions of self like this sometimes get squashed.

A quote from his wife:

“It’s expensive, but worth every penny,” Anita Thompson said. “I’d like to have several explosions. He loved explosions.”

What I find myself wondering: Does anyone out there have any out of the ordinary ideas about how they’d like their life celebrated after their passing? Do any of my readers have the desire to have their ashes shot out of a cannon? Anything stranger?
