Drilling

Eh, not much to say.

Friday was a busy day at the office, one task after another punctuated only by the briefest of lunch breaks, a time spent chowing down on McDonalds and subsequently walking the loop around Fenway Park. It was the kind of day I like, where I’m too busy to do much else but work, where I don’t have much time to dwell on anything negative, and 5:30 is there so quickly it makes my head spin. When you work at a job you like and you have days like these, there’s nothing better. You feel as if you’ve accomplished a lot, and that you’ve done it for something reasonably meaningful to you. It’s a great feeling.

It’s not so great when they’re doing construction in the building next to you and their drills are so loud and so close that you feel as if they’re boring into your skull. But, since we’re keeping it light and positive today, let’s not go there. Let’s just say that I put on my headphones, turned up the iPod pretty darned loud, and kept working. Let’s say that, and leave it at that.
