Some Random Notes

Kaylee took her first ride on the subway on Friday morning, which meant I got to experience several of MBTA elevators that I had never experienced before. I wasn’t impressed. In fact, I was a little scared. Still, the smell of them made for at least one good joke. “Hey, Kay, this smells worse than your diapers, doesn’t it?” Her response: a great big smile.

...Listening to Mr. Andy Hicks on the radio on Saturday afternoon while on a supply run for the pool party I was attending, I was trying desperately to come up with some obscure request to call in. And then, when I finally had something (“Cut Your Hair” by Pavement… does BCN even play Pavement?) I decided that I needed to disguise my voice with some lame accent or something to make it ever funnier. I have no idea what I was thinking, but I was smiling up a storm the whole time.

...I am far too obsessed with what the Boston Celtics are doing this offseason. And there are really very few news outlets on the web that are covering them. I guess that might be because they have sucked so regularly for the last twenty years. But I wish there were more places I could go to waste my time trying to figure out whether or not they’re going to trade for Allen Iverson or not.
