Fourteenth

In honor of her ninth birthday, I am proud to turn over the spotlight to my daughter Kaylee. Here is a story she wrote for school a couple of weeks ago.

I named you when you were born. We lived in a beautiful house. We all liked pizza. We saved money so you could go to Fun World. We called you Alyssa.

You stepped on gum when you were 10! It seemed like you were growing up too fast.

You passed 12th grade.

I nodded to your dad and mixed some pancakes.
