But it was mostly me watching movies like The Conjuring and The Exorcist and being like, “This would be better if… they were gay.”
…the things that I consume, I want to see myself in them. So it’s a lot of me taking things and being like “What if people I know were there?”
It makes me smile to listen back to it now, because Nicole’s answer is a fantastic summation of where I’m at as a writer, teacher, and administrator. As I’ve been saying here on Clarkwoods for a while, writing these days is all about writing the story only you can write.
