The Dreamy Diana Lens

by Kara Kaloplastos

As a photographer, I’ve been working with a lot more models these days now that I’m on the road. I’m also finding myself wanting to upgrade my equipment—but again, since I’m on the road, I’m also pretty broke. However, I recently stumbled upon a lens that might appease the desire for new equipment. The Dreamy Diana lens is a plastic lens that gives your images a glowy and whimsical feel that can’t quite be accomplished with normal settings or photo editing software. It promises “low saturation, soft surreal blurs, and unpredictable colors.” And the best thing is, it’s only $60! I won’t tell you what I payed for my last Nikon lens, but a good lens typically costs more than a grand. This lens might be made out of plastic, but it’s fun, cute, and enough to appease my little creative streak for the time being.
