Top 25 Songs of 2017

It’s tradition round these parts to out myself once a year as a complete and total pop bubblegum whore when it comes to music. I’ve been doing it since 2007 and I ain’t stopping now, even if I have about a million things to do today with family coming over and a rehearsal to go to for my first acting gig in years.

So, without further do, here are the 25 songs I listened to the most during 2017, which you can listen to on Apple Music, if you’d like:

  1. “You Can Cry Tomorrow” by Betty Who
  2. “Touch” by The Aces
  3. “State of Mind” by Satchmode
  4. “I Hate Myself for Loving You” by Halestorm
  5. “Heavy (feat. Kiiara)” by Linkin Park
  6. “Hard Times” by Paramore
  7. “Crush (Heartbreaker)” by Esther Vallee
  8. “Don’t Feed the Trolls” by Jonathan Coulton
  9. “The Runners” by The Naked and Famous
  10. “That House” by Dance With the Dead
  11. “Strangers (feat. Lauren Jauregui)” by Halsey
  12. “Something More” by Ralph
  13. “Big Balloon” by Dutch Uncles
  14. “Woman (feat. The Dap-Kings Horns)” by Kesha
  15. “Never Wanted You” by Tim Chadwick
  16. “The Cure” by Lady Gaga
  17. “Feel It Still” by Portugal. The Man
  18. “Wearing Nothing” by Dagny
  19. “Drips Gold (feat. Raja Kumari)” by Eden xo
  20. “Paris” by The Chainsmokers
  21. “Prom Queen” by Molly Kate Kestner
  22. “Don’t Act Like a Stranger” by Cathedrals
  23. “Best You Ever” by Michelle Branch
  24. “Chunky (feat. Nataly Dawn)” by Sheriffs of Schroedingham
  25. “Bad Liar” by Selena Gomez

Nothing surprising to me here, given that I continued to rely on Apple Music’s “For You” feature for music discovery. Sometimes that thing gets my taste completely wrong, but when it understands me then boy does it understand me.
